Ask Button #6
Dear Button,
I have a question:
How often should my mom cut my nails? It seems like she's always fiddling with my toes and I put up with it 'cause I always get a treat afterwards but boy, does it annoy me and make me THUMP!
Thank you,
Chowder Bunny
PS: I'm Winnie the Pooh's son. I am SO happy that Dad was Adoption #200!
Dear Chowder Bunny.
What a great question! Your mom should technically be cutting your nails every 6-8 weeks. However, most of our fostered and adopted rabbits don't like getting pedicures that often. My mom usually sticks to the longer end of that time frame...so about every 2 months. Even though I hate having it done, it always feels great afterwards! Just remember, being beautiful isn't easy! So, next time your mom tells you it's time for your nail clipping, just relax...in a few minutes you'll look and feel amazing!
Hope this answers your question!
Love, Button
P.S. YOUR DAD GOT ADOPTED! CONGRATULATIONS TO WINNIE THE POOH!!!

Introducing....Bella the Fairy!!!!
We were recently approached by Becky and Frank of Legend of the Faie to do a fundraiser for us! They offered to come take pictures of our rescued rabbits and match them up with stunning hand-painted fairies. Their work is truly incredible! Becky came over and we had the photo shoot last weekend (our rabbits were naturals in front of the camera) and immediately Frank was able to create a gorgeous fairy, who we named Bella!
Anyone who knows the story of Hug-a-Bunny would remember that one of the inspirations behind Hug-a-Bunny was a very special rabbit named Bella, who stole the hearts of one of Hug-a-Bunny's co-directors wayyyy before the rescue started (the other co-director's inspiration was Bumbalina). Sadly, Bella passed away in March and her hus-bun, Bumper, has had a very hard time dealing with his loss. He sat beautifully for his photo shoot and looked very handsome. When the stunning fairy was created hugging him (get it...Hug-a-Bunny!!!), there was no other name that fit better than...Bella! We like to think of Bella as a fairy (or butterfly) who is always with us all. She will definitely always be looking over Bumper!
Becky and Frank, the magicmakers of Legend of the Faie, were nice enough to create a fundraiser for us! A portion of the proceeds of any prints or notecards purchased will come directly to our rescued rabbits. Not only will you get beautiful art (with a handsome bunny and stunning fairy), but you will also be helping out the rabbits in our rescue. Who wouldn't want a stunning photograph of the cutest bunny and most beautiful fairy? Purchase yours today!!!!!
